Certain event details may be withheld until a suitable time for security, safety, or operational reasons.
1.4 Event Postponement or Cancellation
Light Upon Light may postpone, cancel, or stop an event due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to adverse weather, security risks, or other factors beyond our reasonable control.
1.5 Right to Refuse Entry
Entry may be refused without refund or compensation at Light Upon Light’s discretion.
2. Admission & Attendance
2.1 Validity of Tickets
Only tickets purchased from official sales channels will be valid – entry will be denied for unauthorised tickets.
2.2 Late Arrivals
If an attendee arrives after registration closes or doors shut, entry may not be permitted, and no refunds will be issued.
If an attendee anticipates being late, they must notify organisers via email in advance, and re-entry will be at the discretion of the event team.
2.3 Photography & Recording Consent
By attending the event, ticket holders consent to being filmed, photographed, and recorded for promotional and archival purposes.
2.4 Liability Disclaimer
Light Upon Light is not liable for loss, damage, or injury that may occur at the event, including loss of personal belongings.
3. Event Conduct & Regulations
3.1 Food & Beverages
No outside food or beverages may be brought into the event halls unless otherwise stated.
3.2 Age Restrictions
Age restrictions apply – ticket holders must meet the specified age requirements for entry.
Anyone below the required age will be denied entry.
3.3 Segregated Seating
Males must be seated in the male section.
Females must be seated in the female section.
Children under the age of 12 may sit with either parent.
3.4 Dress Code & Islamic Conduct
As an Islamic event, all attendees are expected to dress and behave modestly, in accordance with Islamic values.
This includes:
Wearing appropriate clothing that reflects professionalism and modesty.
Conducting business with respect, integrity, and good manners towards all attendees.
Avoiding loud, inappropriate, or disruptive behaviour that could affect the event atmosphere.
4. Ticket Changes & Special Considerations
4.1 Ticket Modifications
No changes to tickets (such as name transfers or modifications) will be permitted within one week of the event.
4.2 Dietary Requirements
Where food is served, specific dietary requests cannot be accommodated.
5. Special Event Terms
5.1 Iftar Event Policy
Seating will be floor based within the prayer space.
A limited number of chairs will be available for those who require them.
By purchasing a ticket, you agree to adhere to the floor seating arrangement.
5.2 Moon Sighting & Date Changes
Some events (e.g., Ramadan Iftar) are subject to date changes based on moon sighting confirmation.
By purchasing a ticket, you acknowledge and accept that event dates may shift accordingly.
6. Final Agreement
6.1 Acceptance of Terms
By purchasing a ticket, you agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
Failure to comply may result in denied entry or removal from the event without refund.
